A timely reminder on the anniversary of Roe v Wade
The moderate to liberal Justices are old. One is really old: Stevens at 87 and Ginsberg is less than a spring chicken at 74. They will not be sticking around long. In fact, keep your fingers crossed that their health is OK for the next 12 months. Not that bushco could get an Alito type through at this late date, but who wants any kind of a consolation prize compromise?

And of course, it's not just Roe, it's everything from Gitmo to environmental protections to civil liberties and criminal justice.

I know some of you already believe the court is deep in conservative territory, but i could get so much worse, and I want a dem president to replace Kennedy as well as Stevens and Ginsberg.

1. And Ginsburg has had cancer
While Roberts (52), Alito (57), Thomas(59) and even Scalia (71) will probably last for a while.

2. Hopefully if one of them dies in the next 12 months..
Congress would be able to successfully stall the nomination for a year.... Unless the next president is Huckabee :puke:

3. You know
no matter if the person I support for the primary wins or not, it's the supreme court issue that drive me the most to vote for a democrat in the election.
