Who said it? "The Democratic Party always disappoints." (Scroll down)

Yes, it was Tweety, yesterday or the day before. Talking about how OBAMA is supposedly being CLINTON-boated. He claimed that the previous "new thinkers" were TSONGAS, Gene McCARTHY, and one or two others (he didn't name McGOVERN), and that the party machine would sabotage and sink all such "new thinkers." Probably there is some sentiment here agreeing with Tweety (not me).

1. Tweety always disappoints.
Well, not anymore. Now he just meets expectations.

3. I saw him on Jay Leno...
it was from last week, I believe (it was DVR'd).

He spoke openly and passionately about how wonderful and inspiring he thinks Obama is. He said, "I'm not supposed to do this, but..." and then talked about how being in the same room with him while he's speaking is like having a spiritual experience. And he was talking about the man, not just his oratory skills.

He apologized again about the Hillary remarks, but put his focus on being very complimentary to Barak.

So, for anyone unsure by watching "Hardball," he is very much an Obama supporter.

4. Paul Tsongas was a remarkable man, and he died of CANCER.
Had he lived, his 'new thinking' would be plowing forward to this day.

As it is, his wife has his seat now, so onward and upward.

Tweety needs to be compliant with his medication schedule. It's starting to show.

Has his wife left him, or what?

5. I hate to agree with the doofus, but he has a point.
The insurgent always gets squished by the big money establishment in the primaries. A partial list:

Howard Dean
Bill Bradley
Paul Tsongas
Gary Hart
Ted Kennedy

We will almost certainly add John Edwards to this list, and maybe Barack Obama too.

6. I agree
Tweety is right. One of the biggest problems with the party has been its inability to connect with the people and to bring fresh new ideas to the forefront. They are there, but they cannot be heard amongst the din and white-knuckled grip of the corporate-backed.

And the Democrats are about to shed the progressives once again......only to turn around and blame them when they lose after failing to inspire.

It's a treadmill I refuse to get on any more. I am not alone...not by a long shot.

7. I think Timing is the problem
If there are problems , economic, war or whatever, the Establishment
Candidate has the advantage. Americans do not want too dramatic a
change candidate if there are problems in the country. People tend
to stick with what is familiar whenfoced to vote.
