One has to role this over in ones head: The USA is the most influential country in the world. And it is run by a village idiot.

Our president is supported mostly by a base of people who rejects all significant scientific discoveries of the last two hundered years and would rather use ancient writings as a means of making decisions. And now we have Republicans running for that office, such as Mike Huckabee, who have the mentality and the educational level of a eighteenth century cotton farmer.

Hello? Anybody awake??? The USA is supposed to be the most advanced country in the world! We spend more on military than the rest of the world combined, and yet, our politics get decided over "Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve" and "Which part of you is monkey?". Every friggin other civilized country in the world has accepted science by now. But we, the most powerful, are still living in the stoneage :wtf:.

Now I know that the rest of the world is not very fond of our president, but I don't think many people outside the USA are fully aware just how ridiculously low our political culture is. They would be shitting in their pants.

There are actually still many politicians and people in Europe trying to imitate american domestic policies, because they believe them to be intellectually superior and well thought through. You know, free market economy and all that. Protecting the freedom. Socialism doesn't work and bla bla bla.

Do they really have a clue that at the base of all that are friggin people who really honestly believe that the earth was shit out 7000 years ago with everything on it? People who apparantly don't know what a telescope is or how to tell their ass from a hole in the ground. I doubt that they would still be wanting to follow our example, lol.

7. Let's pass a law that no Creationist (or anyone else) is allowed to own...
a PC, Ipod, car, cellphone, appliances or have indoor plumbing until they can explain and understand the underlying SCIENTIFIC principles that allow each of these tools of Satan to function. Science and math achievement scores will double within a year.

8. Or offer them a deal:
All creationists gather around the same area that is packed with nukes. They all get set off simultaneously. If they all fizzle, which they must since nuclear physics (carbon dating) isn't true, then evolution is false. :eyes:

10. The luciferic opens the door to the satanic.
OMG! WMD! did indeed bring us to an illegal invasion to steal and monopolize oil along with his Arabian friends, illegal wiretapping, torture, prison camps, the erasure of civil rights, the legalization of corporate irresponsibility and wanton greed, the potential for the invasion of Iran, incredible debt to China and the loss of a large amount of the US treasury (more Silverado moments), and there's still another year for them to think up new things.

Impeach and prosecute, or we get what we deserve.

12. Many evangelical churches oppose birth control and women's rights too.
Here in N.C. there are churches like the Presbyterian Church of America and Southern Baptist that appear on the surface to be mainstream institutions where many educated professional pillars of the community belong. Only if you delve beneath the surface a bit do you find out that these Bush lovers are slick propagandists harboring extreme right wing views on not only evolution and creation but patriarchial views opposed to birth control and equal rights for women (Margaret Sanger is demonized as well as Darwin). The churches I am familiar with are careful to be very inclusive racially but very sexist when you delve into the details of their views.

These churches work very hard to increase and maintain their membership by providing tremendous social support and strong ingratiating propaganda to keep members in line in opposition to the 'evils' of those who disagree with their views. They are very effective in using religion to demonize those with progressive scientific views and open minds.

The explosive growth in popularity and membership of these right wing evangelical churches is extremely disturbing for our country and we can only hope that it levels off soon.
