Remeber the 12 billion dollars that shipped to Iraq on pallets then was quickly lost
Edited on Thu Jan-31-08 07:49 PM by Patmccccc
"Waxman said up to $12 billion in Iraqi money was converted to dollars, held in the Federal Reserve Bank in New York and shipped in pallets to Baghdad that totaled 363 tons."

I can't find the pictures of the pallets that I saw once (anyone know where that pic is?). Pretty dramatic shots. So much money you could see it from space.

1. I highly doubt it was "lost"--unless you count being deliberately "lost" from
Congressional oversight and control. I wonder how much of it is used for bribes, arms and influence by the US Military and the CIA?

3. "Lost" may not be the right word.

The money was stolen.

2. I saw the photos in Rolling Stone
Gis were sitting on pallets of money, playing catch with millions. Perhaps you could access the pics on their website. And if you didn't read that article, about how our tax money was lost or stolen in Iraq, check it out. Maybe 6 months back........

9. Meanwhile...
We have homeless people, starving vets and a few million without Health Care. So lets ship 363 tons of cash to the middle east and have magically disappear.
