Don't ever buy an Oregon Scientific product. |
|
They sell speakers and other electronics. I purchsed one of their wireless speakers back in August of 2007. It worked fine for 6 weeks, and then the electrical parts burned out or something. I contacted the company and they told me to send the speaker back to them for a replacement. I got it sent to them in October.
Well, now it's February and I still don't have my replacement. I have written letters, called them numerous times, and used their web form to make inquiries. I've decided now that I will be calling them every day until I get my money back or my speaker.
I will NEVER buy anything from them again, and I hope no one at DU gets ripped off by them and then put in the rat maze of promised "replacements." I hate these people and hope they burn in hell. (Ok, that's a little strong, but still ...grrrrr.)

I hate dealing with bad service people and not getting my warranty honored.

Have you tried contacting the Better Business Bureau?
Recently, I purchased a a wooden blanket chest that needed assembly. The pilot holes drilled at the factory for one of the lid hinges were poorly done and the screws stripped out the holes immediately. The company asked me to send them a picture of the problem so they could decide if they would make a replacement. WTF? I was happy to box up the item and have them pick it up via UPS. But it would be impossible to take a photo of the inside of the screw holes. They insisted.
So I contacted the BBB. Because of their intervention the furniture seller told me to keep the faulty blanket chest and they would send me another. Big difference in attitude. I went from being unworthy of their trust to their best friend.
Thanks for the heads up about Oregon Scientific.

4. Yep....I just filled out a complaint. |

To the BBB. We'll see if that gets their attention. Eventually they will get tired of hearing from me. Thanks for the good advice.

5. You're welcome and best of luck for happy results |

I was assigned someone at BBB who gets the case. Nice since it's a real person with contact info like email, snail addy and phone number.
Take care!

an Oregon Scientific wrist blood pressure machine for a few years now, and it still works great. Guess I'm lucky I never needed to contact customer service. Best of luck with getting satisfaction from them. The poster who suggested the BBB is right on the mark.
