One of the Ads I'm seeing is saying |
|
"We Need Heather Wilson"
I will click on that link when someone pries my cold, dead fingers out of my eyes. Why is an ad for a repuke creep on this site?

1. I think you might be the thirtieth person to ask that. |
|
The ads are not hand selected by the admin. They are on here because this is a political website and google thinks you might click the link.

Google thinks too much! I don't know how that works.

4. In part, Google makes its decision based on what words its finds on a site. . . |
|
so your thread objecting to an ad for her will, ironically, generate more ads for her. Google doesn't think -- it just blindly follows the bread crumbs we sprinkle about this place.

6. But DU makes money every time you click an ad. They can't say anything |
|
about that, for that's most likely part of the agreement he had to sign to post the ads. He can't ask you to click the links either. It would be unethical to try to pump up ad revenues. It wouldn't be fair to the advertisers.

8. Oh sure. Some are good like one to a Clinton feature in the NYT. It |
|
discussed letters she wrote in college. I'd like to see one like that about Obama. Some of the ads hold no interest for me.
