While I am avidly anti-Republican I believe if a Democratic President |
|
Tried to do what Bush* has done and Republicans had a Majority in Congress, they would not put up with it for one second. Signing Statements would not happen if Republicans controlled Congress and a Democrat was President..I believe that completely..Yet Democrats just piss and moan a little and roll over and show Bush* their belly..I don't get it. Are they just afraid of being confrontational?

2. It is my impression that Clinton's and prior President's signing statements... |

were comments and clarifications, not nullification of the laws he signed. * is waaaaayyyyyy over the line because he got flawed legal advice telling him he could do as he pleased and Congress has neglected to reign him in for seven years.

It's funny actually... Republicans can get away with things that a Democrat could never get away with!
A Democrat could never get away with wage/price controls (Nixon), huge deficits due to military spending (Reagan), and foreign wars (Bush... well, a Democrat couldn't get away with anything he's done, actually)
