Oregon's domestic partnership law can go ahead
Just being announced now on local news. Permanent injunction against the legislation has been lifted.

2. That's the background story
Judge Mosman issued a temporary injunction until the parties could have a hearing. They had the hearing, and Judge Mosman just dismissed (like at 4:30 p.m. PST today) the temporary injunction, so the way is cleared for the law to go into immediate effect.

The KATU link is confusing.

Bottom line: The domestic partnership law is now in effect, a legal victory for gay and lesbian couples in Oregon.

7. Domestic partnerships are a step in the right direction.
It'll be nice when society stops playing games with other people's lives and gives homosexual couples full marriage equality.
