2. Fox News has gotten businesses to put their TV on Fox News
All over America, business men have their TV in their office turned to Fox News. Often with the sound turned down, it stays on all day. TVs in waiting rooms for auto shops and other businesses do it, too. I think that accounts for some of their market.

Fox News also has a goodly number of watchers like me, critics who are watching to see what today's talking points are, what line of shit they're pushing today.

As we march towards the election, I would expect the Fox News numbers to remain close to static, while CNN and MSNBC see increases.

3. Faux viewers become hypnotized and brainwashed. They never
turn their channel or turn the tv off.

4. The average age of the Fox viewer is 60s, and white, and male.
Fox's success is highly overrated. Billo reaches between 2 and 4 million viewers, mostly Repub elderly. Not exactly a powerful demographic.

CNN and MSNBC do much better with the younger demographics.

7. Beauty Pagent Numbers...
When you see ratings, always be careful to note what type of ratings you're looking at...the age, the time and what they're rating.

Yep, Faux draws the big "cume" or cumlative numbers...these are all viewers 18+...and it usually counts people who've tuned in...not which people, and that's what advertisers look for. The most important numbers the ad agencies look at are the 25-49 numbers that is better known as the "money demo". These numbers are a lot different than the ones you've posted...KO has been beating O'Reilly in this demo and Faux just fell behind CNN for the first time in nearly a decade. Things aren't going good in Rupertland.

Also, those cume numbers reflect people who "look in the window"...doesn't mean they go into the store. It's people who scan past the show or tune in for a few minutes just to watch O'Reilly act like an ass or Hannity get his ass handed to him. Also, those numbers are small in comparison with commercial broadcast TV (still king) and other cable channels (especially ESPN).

Faux has a very loyal audience...they have to...they must follow orders. But what type of audience is this? It's always interesting to see what type of commercials they run as a real indicator of how their ratings are really paying off. Are you seeing Fortune 500 companies on the network or "call the 800 number companies". Seems like most times I scan past, I'm seeing another ad for stiffie enhancement.

8. Could this be because many liberals
like me long ago stopped watching television news? I get all I need from the internet.
