What does this new future look like to you ? |
|
I honestly have no idea , I am not young .
I hear all of this talk about the new future and moving on ahead . Yet I have not heard anyone describe what they see the future as of what it involves to dig out of the present mess we are in now . I don't even hear a cler vision from any of the present still standing candidates .
People can hope and dream but where is the reality ?

1. The 'new future' is looking more and more like the past. |

You will find reality when you find people who are |

willing to take responsibility for their behavior.
Yes, that used to be the norm.

a new bright future awaits all of us if you vote for *insert name* rhetoric. It worked beautifully for Reagan and look what we got. I'm not saying Obama is Reagan but he sure is using a lot of Reagan's campaign tactics. If he should become President I hope he doesn't govern like Reagan.

I am so glad I am not young and even more relieved I chose not to breed. I would not want to be young now nor would I want the guilt of having brought others into this mess we have created. Mankind is destroying the planet and I fear we have reached the point of no return.

7. It looks dismal to me too |

I too am glad I don't have children and that I am not young either .
I heard Gore say we need a carbon tax to fight the global warming as the bottom line yet we still kill for oil and I don't see this ending until the oil is sucked dry . People must realize there is big money in oil and all is in place to continue to pump and drill for oil as well as process it and distribute it .
With a broken economy how will people buy a hybrid car or change light bulbs or do anything else on a personal level to be able to join in on these efforts ?
Also if there is money to be made in green energy what's to stop the huge corps with their enomous profits from taking these new jobs and outsourcing them to the lowest labor bidder . We know this happens now so where is there a difference . It's all about money and power , the product does not change the power structures stratagy .
