It's Super bowl Sunday TM
somewhere around 3 quarter - "and Brady's back to pass, "Nike", he sees Moss wide open, "Buds the King of Beers", it's caught "Army, be all you can be", he's to the 50, "Exxon Mobile", the 40, "GMC Trucks", the 30, "Geico", the 20, "Cialis", the 10, "IBM", Touchdown! "Las Vegas is calling".

2. You got it. If my team (the cowboys) were playing
I would watch it. But it has become more than a game - tv ads, superbowl halftime - it's ridiculous. The entire focus should be on the fact that it's the biggest game of the year. All the outside crap, plus the incredible amount of television commercials, has totally turned me off.

10. Awww, what's the matter?
You don't want to see the New York Giants pull the greatest upset in sports history? :D

11. I hope they do win
and continue to cement that the NFC east is the best division in modern NFL history. Our division already has the most Superbowl wins. I still won't be watching it, though, because of how ridiculous the side shows are. I'll watch the replays, instead of wasting countless hours on a weekend watching commercials and half time shows.

4. This is the best day of the year
to go out to a movie. That's just what I'll be doing. I haven't watched the Advertising Bowl in years.

5. I would actually watch the game
if it wasn't such a supercapitalist billboard.

6. Massive indifference on my part
Rather read a good book.

Baseball is the only TRUE sport. Thou shalt put no other sports before it.

9. "SOUPer BOWL Sunday: Great day to remember the hungry and homeless.
Edited on Sun Feb-03-08 02:02 PM by DemoTex
Rather than join the mindless national pass-time of wanton consumerism, make a donation (food, time, money) to help the hungry or homeless. My church had stew pots at all the exits this morning for donations to SOUPer BOWL Sunday. After all, how many bowls of soup could be had for half the money that will be flushed down the john or thrown away in a desultory post-game clean-up effort?

Thanks for giving me a segue for my pitch, salinen!

I'll be sending a check to The Stew Pot in Dallas today, SOUPer Bowl Sunday. If you don't have a charity in mind, consider donating to this great outfit:

BTW: SOUPer BOWL Sunday is a growing ecumenical movement started in South Carolina sixteen years ago. Credit where credit is due!
