"Conservatives Betrayed"! Wahh--wahhhh wahhh-!!! Where's our gop messiah?
http://www.conservativesbetrayed.com/gw3/articles-latestnews/articles.php?CMSArticleID=3800&CMSCategoryID=19

The discombobulated state of the Republican presidential campaign means that it is still possible for someone to jump into the race. Such a candidate could serve as a kingmaker at the Republican convention in September, or even – yes, it’s possible – could become the party’s nominee.

Currently, Republicans are split among the various candidates; most conservatives are undecided, or ambivalent, or support one candidate or another because the alternatives are worse. Having been betrayed by a Republican establishment – by a president and members of Congress who pretended to be conservatives in order to get elected – grassroots conservatives are justifiably wary of the present contenders for leadership. All the remaining GOP presidential candidates have good qualities; all are flawed.

Even Rush Limbaugh has raised the possibility that he may not support the Republican nominee this year. The nomination of McCain or Huckabee, he said, would destroy the party as we know it.

If enough conservatives think and talk about an open convention and a new candidate, perhaps someone will seize the opportunity, unprecedented in modern times, that is presented by the current chaos – the opportunity to help rebuild the conservative movement and change the course of history.

Whaaaaa!!!---whaaaaahhh, whaaaaaa, rush limbaugh's panties are all in a bunch! anne coulter is voting for Hillary! whahhhh whahhhhh! Jesus! Please return and save the grand old asshole party, please! We love you Jesus, we're a Judeo-Christian nation, really we are! God please send us a messiah!

Whaaaaaaaaaa!!!!

3. Are people still falling for this?
Look, the whole Coulter/Limbaugh/etc. thing about hating McCain is a total ruse. I'm convinced of it. At this point the vast majority of the public who aren't the 29% dead enders hate people like Limbaugh and Coulter and see them as completely indicative of the republican party. By those guys coming out against McCain it allows him to keep pushing this "maverick" myth about him being an independent. They are all smart enough to realize that them coming out against him is going to help him in the general election.

And people are falling for it. I know far too many people who are taking a "I like McCain. I may not agree with him on everything but he seems to be an honest guy so I trust him to do what's right." approach to this election.

15. So what? Republicans have proved they don't know the first thing about governing
So it really doesn't matter who they put up there as their sacrifice. Any Republican will get skewered by either Hillary or Obama..They have had a decade to prove themselves and they have done just that. America is waking up and that does not bode well for any Republican no matter how much of a Maverick they tell us they are..

5. I Had Some Fun With A "Moderate" Repugnican Yesterday
I was amused...this guy thought he was "among his own"...it was a local gathering and he came out of nowhere and was asking people if they were going to vote tomorrow. My wife said she was looking forward to it and he said "ya gonna vote for the witch or the "hired help"?" and started laughing. I looked at the shitstick and said "excuse me"...he goes on to say "c'mon, no one's gonna want Al Sharpton's best friend as president". I then asked him if he worked hard to be that racist. He looks at me and says "what are you, a "poor librul"? I said...first of all, I've got more money than you do and a wonderful family...you're here on your own, trolling for a date. Then he claims he's a "moderate Repugnican"...that he supportd McCain. I asked him if he voted for boooosh in '04...and he smiled. I then told him to go to the bathroom and wash that blood of his hands before he discusses politics with normal people. The others around were amused and also shocked...and he realized his "humor" wasn't going over well with our group and slithered away. Right after that, one elderly lady came up to me and said she was a lifelong republican until the last election and "you just saw the reason I'm now a proud Democrat and voting for Hillary".

8. They've become so secure in their own delusion that they can't
imagine anyone disagreeing with them. They really believe they are mainstream America.

In a way this has been a good weeding out process. About the only people left in the GOP now are the truly nasty ignorant obnoxious racist ass holes.

9. I Laughed When He Claimed He Was "Moderate"
I guess only moderately racist, sexist and homophobic. I'm sure this asshat lives with his hate radio on and is brainwashed into thinking that since he's not as whacked out as his buddies that he's a "moderate". As I told him right before I turned away..."you're really sad...totally screwed and clueless...then I laughed at him as I walked away. They always hate that...not only didn't he piss he off (repugnicans never do that), he knew he was made the fool he deserved to be made into.

Cheers...

6. Considering the load of testosterone they are carrying,
conservatives certainly do a lot of squalling and bawling. They are cowardly bullies who turn into whining crybabies when they aren't given everything they demand. You'd think they were all 2-year-olds.

10. Yep - cause their complaints don't sound anything like DUers pissed that
once again Kucinich went down in flames and we are stuck with two DLC type candidates (albeit one is a bit further away than the other).

12. Third party for the GOP
McCain isnt widely percieved by republicans as a psycho, thus he is unacceptable.

He is a bush clone running on a 'war forever' platform but no matter.
