6. Not news. This was clearly improper at the time and was not challenged. Still,
happy to renew any discussion of WH misdeeds and crimes.

7. You know what I can't understand?
How is it possible that all these presumably smart, experienced, accomplished people keep getting snookered by an administration fronted by the stupidest man to ever occupy the White House?

This is an administration that has lied about virtually every single policy or action of even modest importance since grand theft election 2000 and the silent coup -- and been caught in most of those lies by one of the half-dozen or so remaining investigative reporters, bloggers, international media, independent US media and even, once in a great while, US mass media (when they're off their meds for half a day).

Ms. Clinton was fooled into voting for the IWR, officially known as the Resolution to Authorize the Use of United States Armed Forces Against Iraq, because she was told by various administration shills that they were just kidding, that it didn't actually mean what the title says it means and that she wasn't really voting to authorize the use of US armed forces against Iraq.

John Kerry was fooled by the same group of liars, although he later squirmed his way out of it and publicly admitted that he screwed up.

Thing is, anybody who's been paying attention since the coup knew Bush was going to invade Iraq with or without congressional backing or an OK from the UN. Why didn't Kerry, Clinton and the rest of the allegedly democratic enablers/collaborators in the senate realize that?

And it's not as if they learned anything from the experience. The Kyl-Lieberman amendment condemning Iran for the same offenses trumped up against Iraq and declaring their elite military unit, the Revolutionary Guards, a terrorist organization passed the senate 76 - 22 and, yup, Ms. Clinton voted "yea" on that one, too. Kerry, at least, voted "No" that time.

Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid seem to spend their entire professional lives in a state of denial that allows them to think and act as if they're dealing with an administration full of honest, decent, honorable people, despite their seven-year track record demonstrating the exact opposite.

And even though they're fooled about the same things by the same people every single day, they seem to have an amazing capacity to be shocked and appalled every time it happens, just as though it was the first time. Then out comes the usual strongly worded letter and they apparently feel they've done their duty.

Anybody who watched in horror as Pelosi took impeachment "off the table" knew right then that this democratic congress was going to roll over, cave in and cower like puppies in their own pee every time Cheney lifted an accusing eyebrow.

Hell, I knew this was coming and I have absolutely no inside knowledge or particularly great sources. I just understand human behavior, watch them go about their scripted paces and infer the rest.

Now it seems the 9/11 commissioners are appalled, astounded and dismayed that they've been manipulated by that very same administration. Shockingly, one of its more ardent supporters, Phillip Zelikow, a known Bushie suck up, Condi confidant and partisan hack, was fobbed off on them as a credible choice for executive director. And of course, they bought it.

Zelikow... Everybody who questions the official 9/11 conspiracy theory knows who Zelikow is and what his job was going to be with the commission. No secret. He held three different positions in the Reagan regime, worked for Bush I with Rice in the NSC, served on Bush II's transition team, went on to Bush's Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board and is credited (blamed?) with writing the definitive policy document on the War on Terror(tm).

So he's hardly a stealth appointment. And yet, these august commissioners, experienced pros all, failed to realize that their investigations were being intentionally manipulated from the inside to keep all evidence of white house involvement "off the table," and that Zelikow was the guy charged with making that happen.

So... are all these people that stupid? Or do they think we're all so stupid that we'll just lap this garbage up uncritically, ask no questions, sit the hell down and shut the hell up?

I don't know... Just asking.
