Big turnout?
10 people ahead of me in line at about 11:00.
I've been voting in the same precint for 15 years, and have never had more than 2 people ahead of me.

1. That's good to know...
It's about time Americans take their responsibility to vote seriously ~ too bad it took 7 years of hell. Was there a lot of excitement??

7. The crowd seemed pretty relaxed
except for one guy who had a big grin.

No young people, though. They might turn up later, or do what so many did in '04 (stay home and watch the Cartoon Channel).

9. 28 here, haven't missed a general or primary, local or national in ten years...
Although I understand, the Cartoon Channel is an awful distraction...

6. I didn't have to wait that year,
but I got to the polls about 5 minutes before they closed (work).

3. you must be in one of those "10 voters for every machine" Democratic precincts
as opposed to one of the "10 machine for every voter" Republicon precincts

5. It's a largely Democratic precinct.
From the thickness of the stub books, I'd say that it's about 3-4 to 1 Democratic (blue stubs) compared to Republicans (pink stub). The last few people ahead of me were all given blue. My polling place has one machine for each of four precincts.

4. I live in a small rural community

I usually vote around 8am after I take my wife to work and the total voters after that first hour has been around 30 for the last 3 Presidential primaries, but this morning there was an actual line (never seen that) and I was the 84th person to cast a ballot.

Turnout is very high here in Central California.

8. Not sure, haven't been to the polls yet...
I'll vote when the Mrs. gets home from the office.

I've been home sick with the little one today.

10. there was a line at my polling location...
...because it opened 5 hours late. >:(

That said, at least people waited around, and we were eventually allowed to vote.

12. Very large turnout in atlanta (my experience)
Estimated wait time to vote in my heavily democratic in-town Atlanta precinct was 1.5 hours this morning. I couldn't wait that long so I'm heading back after work.

13. Hour long line here in central NM
and people were PISSED. Nobody was leaving until they voted. Petitions were going around for Democrats running for Heather Wilson's (R-COW) seat.

That's a LOT for a primary :)

It could eclipse reagan's primary turnout..
