Against my better judgement, I just peeked into GD-Primaries...... |
|
.... It was like that scene in Poltergeist, when the mom passes by the door of her kids' haunted room and opens it out of curiosity, only to see toys and ghouls flying around..... :scared:
Remind me to never do that again!

don't EVER do that, if you value your sanity. :) :hi:
I turned it off a couple weeks back. The board has been much better since then.

10. I went in and posted who I voted for. |
|
(Hint: He dropped out a couple of weeks back.)
The I went and started reading a couple of threads.
All I can say is I'm so glad all that poison was drained out of here. The level of sheer, screeching, umm, debate had me running for the door within seconds.

said it was best if I stayed in the Latest Breaking News forum until the primaries were over, or at least out of GD - Primaries. I've heeded their advice.

I guess I must have developed callouses after half a decade of elections at DU. But it's really awful for the newly initiated. Best to avoid it if you can't duke it out.

There is no telling what you could have caught there!
If you get the urge to do THAT again just hit yourself in the head with a hammer it's much less painful!

16. It's not scary, it's just tiresome |
|
Terminal-stage partisans slinging out vitriol in a post-apocalyptic landscape, unaware of anything beyond the battle lines. Their lines of attack follow old faults that have been plumbed so many times that molehills now loom large as mountains. It kind of reminds me of a scene from the Terminator, where Reese dreams of the future war: robots creep over the wreckage, mercilessly destroying anything that moves.
