2. Holy Moses! I mean Holy Huckabee! Living here in TN, I'm not surprised.
In East Tennessee, all that's important on the Republican side is that he's Jesus' man. He's tight with "the Lord".

3. CNN says ...
Edited on Tue Feb-05-08 11:56 PM by BearSquirrel2
My live CNN display has

McCain ..... 389
Romney ..... 135
Huckabee ... 087

1,191 Delegates are necessary to win the nomination.

Yeah, Huckabee has taken some states. But this is a lot like that old red/blue map. John McCain has almost 3 times the delegates as Romney and 4 times the delegates as Huckabee.

We'll see how California goes. My guess is that if Romney can take California, then Huckabee will make a VP deal with Romney and dropout w/ a Romney endorsement. Whichever way California goes, it's clear that Huckabee isn't in contention.

My intuition tells me that the other Repubs attacked Huckabee behind the scenes with whisper campaigns and push polling. A public campaign against Huckabee would make him an unviable VP candidate. We are seeing from the data that he is really good at getting out the fundagelicals.

The VPs' traditional role has been garnering votes. The recent, significant roles of Al Gore and Dick Cheney is a new phenomenon. Most VPs are just ignored. So I don't find any reason why Romney can't put Huckabee in the VP's seat and then send him out to pasture.

8. Interesting perspective ...

It's an interesting perspective. It probably would effectively end the race. I wonder though if Huckabee would be interested in working with John McCain that closely since he represents the "parties pick".

I think Huckabee is super serious about making Republicans deliver on all the promises they've made to fundamentalists over the years. I don't think Mitt will exactly deliver, but everybody knows they will only get lip service from McCain.

Huckabee’s Foreign Policy Advisors Arrive to Brief The Candidate About the Gitite and the Phillistine problem.

The candidate promptly played the smooth stone against "the lot's of armour" card as "code".

Seriously good cause:
