If you have time, watch some of the coverage.

The destruction from the front that moved through Arkansas, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Mississippi last night is just terrible.

44 dead already, more expected as the sun comes up and first responders can get in and look for survivors and bodies.

:(

Here's the link with the discussion through the night last night:

3. 130 mph straight-line winds reported in AR last night.
We KNEW this stuff was coming in 1993. It might not have made much difference, but our Alleged Representatives in Congress could have STARTED taking steps against the Warming FIFTEEN YEARS AGO.

But Noooooooo! It was somehow more important to GET Bill Clinton for SOME sort of crime, no matter HOW small or far-fetched. And while THAT little dog-and-pony show was playing out, our country was being sold off to Corporations.

What's that about reaping the Whirlwind? A pox on both your Houses (of Congre$$)!

:grr:

5. GW has nothing to do with this.
There is a strong La Nina in the Pacific which supports these outbreaks and in reality, we are only 2 to 3 weeks from the peak season in the South.
