Some people think deeply, and the vast majority of people don't.

I think that is certainly true in the USA nowadays. I believe it is true anywhere, in any century.

Your thoughts?

Edited for clarity.

1. the vast majority does not think.
and hopefully (I have my fingers crossed) that vast majority will start thinking we have lost too much in this country, and our image has been tarnished around the world.

2. I've always found it simple to tell people who think deeply
They are the people who come to the same conclusions as myself. I just pity those who come to some other conclusion as it's clear they aren't thinking deeply.

4. That's diversity for you
But everyone thinks deeply sometimes, and everyone doesn't at other times. Then again, some may not think deeply at all, and some may do nothing but. Everyone might not even agree on the definiton of deep. Some people might consider non deep thinking to be a problem, some might not. Again, diversity. But then everyone might not agree on the definition of diversity.

No wonder we're all crazy.

7. Probably true.
The problem has always been identifying those that think deeply, and distinguishing them from those that don't think deeply, and those who don't think deeply but believe they do; often people that say they think deeply merely hope they think deeply while those who are quiet or dismissed by self-styled "deep thinkers" are too busy thinking to be bothered.

But I could be wrong.

8. Most people do not think
then there are some who think but only within the confines of their "group" and then there are those who think beyond tribal beliefs.

10. Proper thinking has rules, you see.

Most people believe that thinking's useful no matter what sort of thinking it is, but that's not true.
