I'm listening to Tom Coburn (Troglodyte-OK) on CSPAN2 right now.... |
|
... talking about stimulating the economy. His solutions: Cutting business taxes, and eliminate Medicare and Food Stamp fraud....
Not ending corporate welfare, not ending a quasitrillion dollar quagmire in Iraq, not eliminating the looting of the public trough by Blackwater and their ilk - his solution is to stop all those thieving old and poor people. .... A perfect illustration of why I really am beginning to hate Republicans, and I pride myself on not hating anyone. But I really do hate today's Republicans.

1. Indeed. They're about to vote on it--Hillary and Obama have come in |
|
to vote too. It will probably pass, but the Repubs will make it close, I'll bet.

veto this Eco Stimulus plan, so I am sure there will be more than a few RePukes that will vote for it so they can use it to help their reelection campaigns. It contains an extension to unemployment and includes more people in the rebate, two things Bu$h doesn't want. 60 votes needed so maybe it won't pass.
