Again...Huckabee only in the race to appease GOP Religious Crazies.... |
|
The powers that be in the GOP have accepted the final spasm of the conservative "bowel" movement (to paraphrase another post). They know that America has rejected the lies, hypocrisy and idiocy of the neo-cons and religious bible literalists. The neo-cons adopted the support of the religious right and elevated the likes of GW Bush to the White House with DISASTROUS effect on the nation...but in the end they still succeeded in lining the pockets of old-war, nazi supporter families and friends of the BFEE. That has all come to an end. As the last threads are cut away the true color of the Republican party is revealed...and America finds it sure as hell isn't anything that looks like a rainbow.
Bush drove his nation into the ditch and now the big supporters are abandoning the GOP like a pair of shit filled underwear along the interstate. This nation is in free fall right now and electing ANY republican to any office is not in anyone's best interest. Until the party rejects the extremist positions thrust on them by creationist, bible thumping bigots and vacuous, self-serving, blow hard media whores, Republican "values" have no place in modern politics.
Watch and listen to the change coming. there is noting the Republicans do now to stop it. G.W. bush officially pounded a stake into the heart of America.
Lucky for us we still have more heart than they thought possible.
I personally am enjoying seeing the once, proud, honorable, Republican's we all learned to loath, squirm under the weight of their own poisonous words and wide "shoot first" stance. I applaud any reasonable thinking republicans that admits the last 8 years have been a disaster and turns away. The rest can drift into political obscurity because that is where the hard-core Republicans and the modern "conservative movement" is headed. Why do you think you hear so little about "issues" or even sound bites coming from the Republican campaign? All you hear is facts about voter polls, percentages and odds, speculation about the outcome of the "horse race". Any time they really discuss issues it turn more and more Americans off the Republican platform.
I mean really... here are some memorable quotes from the remaining GOP Presidential candidates:
"bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb bomb Iran..." - John McCain (To the tune of The Beach Boys' "Barbara Ann")
"I have opponents in this race who do not want to change the Constitution. But I believe it’s a lot easier to change the Constitution than it would be to change the word of the living God. And thats what we need to do is amend the Constitution so it’s in God’s standards rather than trying to change God’s standards so it lines up with some contemporary view of how we treat each other and how we treat the family." - Mike Huckabee

3. It is possible that Huckabee can keep McCain from getting 1190 delegates... |
|
for the nomination, even though he cannot win himself. What happens then? I think the media may have jumped the gun in coronating John McCain?
