Posted this in Texas forum 'cause it's local politics but it effects everybody.

Texas district 6 is going purple real fast. In the last three election cycles the Democratic vote went from 28% to 33% to 37%. None of the Democratic candidates had more than $120 k to run on. The last, David Harris, forced Joe Barton to plant signs and make campaign stops in parts of the district he'd never seen AND picked off another 4% of the vote. That's $.35 a vote compared to more than $40 that Smokey Joe spent.

This guy can be beaten and if he is the Republicans and big oil lose the ranking member of the following committees:

Subcommittee on Commerce, Trade, and Consumer Protection
Subcommittee on Energy and Air Quality
Subcommittee on Environment and Hazardous Materials
Subcommittee on Health
Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations
Subcommittee on Telecommunications and the Internet

donated $350,000 from the excess in his war chest to the RCCC so they can run candidates in your district!
