MSNBC: "Most Surely Nothing But Crap" MSNBC's gender problems

"The mess at MSNBC

Three weeks ago, in the wake of Chris Matthews' quasi-apology for one of his countless objectionable comments about women in general and Hillary Clinton specifically, I argued that Matthews' apology was not enough. Neither Matthews nor MSNBC had acknowledged that the problem ran far deeper than one comment by Matthews -- and their failure to make such an acknowledgement was an ominous sign that the apology would not be accompanied by a change in behavior, no matter how forcefully Matthews insisted: "I get it."

So what has happened in those three weeks?"

1. Matthews is a screw. The only thing he doesn't say is the "n" word.

2. They only punish the ones that Hillary whines about
She said nothing about Tweety so he got off with a lame apology. She bitched about Schuster and he got suspended.

Hope this isn't an indication of the kind of censorship a Pres. Clinton will attempt to institute.

I thought she was so "tough" she could take anything the RW dished out. Oops I forgot when the real RW says something she clams up and takes it. Like Rush Limpballs calling Chelsea the white house dog. Like John McCain telling a vile joke about Janet Reno being Chelsea's father. Somehow it's OK for them to say these things but not a reporter who really said nothin disrespectful.

3. You missed something! He insinuated Hillary was "PIMPING" her daughter!
I think the past has demonstrated that the politicians themselves ignore BS like that, but I sure can't blame Hillary OR Bill for taking them to task for taking them to task for pulling Chelsea into that kind of talk. don't know how many of you have daughters, granddaughters or even girlfriends or wives. If you wouldn't finda comment like that about YOUR relative, shame on YOU!

4. It was offensive and I would be outraged
I have a wife a daughter 2 granddaughters and I;'m about to have a great granddaughter in May. I'd be pissed if that remark was made about any of them.

My point is that Hillary's outrage seems very selective. She didn't say jack shit when limbaugh and McCain made some very unkind remarks about her daughter. Why? She afraid of them?

6. Limpballs is ignored by everyone with a brain! Truthfully, it seems
even his RW supporers are ignoring him lately. He's like the male Ann Coulter. Most people simply respond "consider the source!"

McCain should have been called out on his comment about Chelsea. He well may have been and it just wasn't made public. I have no idea.

I'm listening to Thom Hartmann right now, and he's talking about the deterioration of "news". I have to agree with hon. He said the REAL PROBLEM in the shuster case is that he should never have been asked the question in the first place! HE is a journalist, and a news reporter, not a Matthews, Tucker, Wolf opinion maker. He was responding to a question or comment from someone else, and he should have said "I don't have n opinion, I'm a reporter!" There IS no news anymore. It's all rated on it's entertainment value!!!!
