Nutball right seeks to destroy McCain

Ann Coulter, speaking before the Young Americans for Freedom, greeted the nominee-presumptive of the GOP by comparing him to Hitler.

Now, there isn’t much doubt in the minds of most people that Coulter is a head case. I’ve often thought it was pretty disgraceful how the trash right pimps this poor sick woman out to howl her venom at the universe.

The YAF aren’t people you would want for neighbors. Most are pampered and useless, vicious little preppies with brittle steel in them. Cheerleaders for the occupation and torture, you won’t find many vets among them. They have better things to do. Like pimp out Ann Coulter.

Coulter, of course, likes to play the disingenuous and coy bit. She sneered that backing Hillary Clinton against John McCain would be much like Winston Churchill backing Stalin against Hitler. (Apparently she didn’t feel like mentioning that Stalin and the US were allies in that war, too, and that without the USSR, the west probably would have lost in Europe)

1. Shouldn't that be "Springtime for Hitler"?
Had to ask.

2. She's being used, no doubt. And, she thinks she's calling the shots.
She doesn't know how to get the "outrageous" thing going anymore. Worse, she's on the losing side, so it's really tough for her, since her schtick was snarky superiority.

6. Who is using her?
I think it is more likely that she is the one doing the using.

8. You make a good point. I spoke too soon and based on just a snippet of info.
I should have a better understanding of her extemporaneous speaking skills. I sometimes think the RW pundits deliberately make themselves intolerable to watch to the majority of folks.

9. I hear you
I have never yet been able to sit through one of her screetch fests. No way can I listen to Rush for more than a few minutes and I still haven't listened to Glenn Beck.

4. Springtime For Hitler
Springtime For Hitler

Germany was having trouble, what a sad, sad story
Needed a new leader to restore its former glory
Where, Oh where was he? Where could that man be?
We looked around and then we found
The man for you and me.
And now it's..

Springtime for Hitler and Germany
Deutschland is happy and gay
We're marching to a faster pace
Look out, here comes the master race

Springtime for Hitler and Germany
Winter for Poland and France
Springtime for Hitler and Germany
Come on, Germans, go into your dance

I was born in Dusseldorf, and that is why they call me Rolf
Don't be stupid, be a smarty, come and join the Nazi party

Springtime for Hitler and Germany
Goosestep's the new step today
bombs falling from the skies again
Deutschland is on the rise again

Springtime for Hitler and Germany
Uboats are sailing once more

Springtime for Hitler and Germany
Means that soon we'll be going
We've got to be going
You know we'll be going to WAR!

13. OK -- here's a cheer for Ann Coulter --- WTF?
Most of the nation is anti-war --- a huge percent --- and when they figure out the BILL for this --- that is . . . if our Treasury doesn't collapse first . . . they are going to want to see this
Bush/Cheney duo in prison.

So -- where anyone gets the idea that a short, pink fat guy who wants more war is going to win
seems sheer fantasy --- presumably corporate-media fantasy.

14. No one is cheering ....
OR complaining ....

But someone is blowing smoke up our arses ....

Your railing against us for 'complaining' .... yet not a one is complaining .... THAT is the point ....

More precision is always better ....

15. Either you like what Ann Counter is doing or you're suspicious of it ---
Edited on Wed Feb-13-08 02:25 AM by defendandprotect
LOOK at the threads all over DU SUSPICIOUS of the GOP selecting our candidates --- !!!

Did you miss that somehow --- ???

I wasn't railing against anyone ---

I asked a question --- !!!

And here's a repeat of the rest of my msg in case you didn't see that either ==

Most of the nation is anti-war --- a huge percent --- and when they figure out the BILL for this --- that is . . . if our Treasury doesn't collapse first . . . they are going to want to see this

And, I'd add to that that the "fantasy" has to be kept going in order to try to keep poll numbers
looking the way they need them to look for anything nearing a believable new steal -- !!!

16. I was just thinking of a reason she might be doing this that would help McCain
now this might only make sense because I am very tired, but here goes. If Bush ran for a third term, he would bomb so fast it wouldn't be funny.

McCain is essentially the best hope for Republicans to continue Bushs disastrous policies. So they convince an ardent Bush fan to rip John McCain. The image thats created in peoples heads is, wow, this guy is different, and really doesn't just tow the party line like the rest. This image is essential if John McCain is hoping to win the independent and crazy conservative Democrats over (Zell Miller, for example). If he is viewed as a person that will continue Bushs policies, even tho that is what he promises he will do, he will bomb. If he can maintain his maverick image but toe the party line at the same time, the sheeple Republicans will fall in line, and the conservative independents, and maybe some Democrats.
