How To Get Yourself On The GREATEST PAGE (7 Easy Steps) |
|
1. Post in GDP (nearly 2/3 of Greatest Page posts are from GDP)
2. Or post in GD (about 60% of remainder are from GD)
3. If you post in GDP, make sure your opinion is extreme. The more extreme, the more likely you'll hit the greatest page. You can be positive or negative about either candidate (or you might even still make it with an Edwards post) but do NOT post something like "Hillary Clinton should stay in to the Convention" even if you're not a Hillary fan. Perhaps if you have an Obama avatar it might work.
4. If you post in GD, one good way to hit the greatest page is to ask Skinner to change DU. Another good way is to tell everyone they should just get along and stop being so nasty to each other.
5. Use some CAPS in your title, (not ALL CAPS though) and/or capitalize each word in your title.
6. Don't post later than 9pm Pacific Time - most of the country has gone to bed.
7. If all else fails, post something like, "How To Get Yourself On The GREATEST PAGE"
Good luck!

oh, f*ck it. I can't control this addiction anymore. Can you come up with a 7-step program to break the recommending habit?

But I fell asleep during Olberman and, therefore, started drinking later than usual.

Hope it's not as "frickin" cold in Marin County as has been here in John Muir's home state.

11. By the way, this thread was inspired by the following (try not to doze off): |
|
Edited on Mon Feb-11-08 11:56 PM by FlyingSquirrel
6 recs for thread saying Hillary Clinton should suspend if she hasn't caught up by March 4.
0 recs for subsequent thread saying I changed my mind and think she should stay in to the Convention:
"...it was wrong to suggest Hillary should suspend if she's still behind in March.
First, I didn't like it when people wanted Edwards to drop out so it's not right to suggest Hillary should drop out either. I skipped my caucus because of Edwards leaving the race. It's a historic moment in our country and anyone who wants to vote for the possible first Black or Female president should have that opportunity, without the candidate being forced out of the race before people get the chance to vote.
Second, it's a close race. Yes, it'd be nice for us to be able to rally around a candidate early on in the process and avoid the battles. However, just because that has generally been the way it happens doesn't mean we should force a candidate out to fulfill that expectation. Also, the longer it takes us to choose our candidate, the less time the Repugs will have to focus their heavy artillery on the winner. Right now all they can do is take pot shots and wait.
Third, I expect Obama to win. I expect the Superdelegate gap to close and for them to vote in about equal numbers for Clinton and Obama; I think Obama will probably win with Pledged Delegates. Even if Michigan and Florida are included. If I'm wrong, oh well. We're the party that believes the votes should all be counted so let the chips fall where they may."

However, there's nothing with a little comic reief from time to time.
Especially when seeing with what just went down with the FISA bill.
