Michael Savage' Failed "Bid" For The 2008 Election
It is the election season, and we're watching people across America choose between Hillary or Obama or McCain or Huckabee. Democracy at its finest (as long as the voting machines works).

As we have reached this stage of the primary stage, one week after Super Tuesday, we look back on some of the candidates who have dropped out of the campaign. Candidates who didn't get a chance in the media (Edwards, Kucinich), candidates who really didn't have a clue (9iu11ani, Thompson) - and candidates who were just freakin' nuts. Like Tom Tancredo.

Or Michael Savage. On February 5 last year, Savage did http://archive.newsmax.com/archives/articles/2007/2/5/161823.shtml">an interview with NewsMax where he was talking about running for President. He stated that "somebody who's not a politician might be a viable candidate". He then set up a poll on his site, saying that he would consider running for President once he gets 5 million Yes votes. A poll.

One year later, http://www.savage-productions.com/~site/scripts_webpoll/webpoll.dll?CMD=CMDViewSponsoredResults&ht=webpoll_savage_president.xpf&s=marine&tp=http://track.homestead.com/~site/Scripts_Track/track.dll&ID=15022137">Savage has over 56 million Yes votes on the poll. A die-hard Savage fan would argue that "When Bush was re-elected in 2004, he got 62 million votes - Savage isn't too far behind!" Well, let's take a look at the supposedly "massive" effort to put Savage into the White House and accomplish the only election promise he has made so far, playing to the liberal voters:

"You wouldn't be in business too long. I can guarantee you, you'd be arrested for sedition within six months of my taking power.
I'd have you people licking lead paint, what you did to this country."

Now, Bush did get re-elected in 2004 with 62 million votes. 62 million Americans voting for him. In Michael Savage' poll, ANYONE can vote for Savage to run for the presidency. No matter if they live in Russia, Brazil, or Dubai. You don't even have to be an American citizen to vote for Savage in the poll! That fact alone shatters his jive-turkey nonsense poll in a thousand pieces. But just for the fuck of it, let's move even further:

Savage' "petition" for the presidency is nothing but a poll. And those of us that know how cookies work, know that you can vote in a poll, remove cookies (which is made even easier with the newer versions of Firefox and Internet Explorer), and vote in the poll again. Don't you think there's a Savage fan out there that votes Yes in the poll, removes the cookies, and then votes again? And over and over and over and over (repeat ad infinitum) again?

So when you enter the Michael Savage website (which I really don't recommend, since the guy puts up pictures and videos of beheadings and other gory real-life deaths), and you hear him brag about "We passed the 60 Million Vote Mark! Will McCain agree to meet the Savage Nation?" - just laugh your ass off in front of the computer and keep in mind what I've written about in this article. Michael Savage has no chance what-so-ever to become President, and no fake-ass polls he puts up on his site where some crazy Spaniard votes for Savage 525 times in an hour will make it possible. And that's my two cents for tonight.

6. His candidacy had as much legitimacy as Stephen Colbert's.
Only difference is - Colbert rules and he doesn't.
