1. Can't wait for my DINO Salazar to be up for re-election
He'll be defeated in the primary, easy.

And replaced with a populist/progressive Democrat.

5. I hope you're right, he's my senator as well and I'll do what I can to support his primary challenge
As for the rest of the list, not much of a surprise except for Webb which is really disappointing.

12. Webb sold out on FISA last time as well.
I've lost most of the respect I had for him during his campaign. What a disappointment he's turned out to be.

I think I *might* have agreed with him once on any bill of consequence. Bastard. To think when I was beating the bushes for Kerry, they had me spewing Salazar signs and garbage. Ptui!

6. Feinstein has always been a corporate shill.
But Webb now showing his true colors has killed all chances for VP if Obama gets the nod.

21. But I can still be disappointed can't I?
I actually kind of liked her amendment (that failed) to refer the whole mess to the courts, not that it's the best
solution, but it's better than a supposedly "Democratic" Congress bowing down to Corporate America like they ultimately
have done.. so sad, so pathetic.

9. Feinstein created the bill with immunity in it. It would not exist were it not for her.
Leahy created the smae bill at the same time without immunity.

26. The bill with immunity was written in the House
and the amended by the Senate Intelligence Committee. Feinstein is in the Judiciary Committee with Chairman Leahy. I saw the Committee hearing. Feinstein voted against immunity every time the repugs tried to put in in as an amendment.

31. Feinstein is the chair of the intelligence committee which wrote the bad bill. Leahy
presented the good bill, and Feinstein voted with the republicans!
Leahy actually overturned Feinstein's vote to send the bill through, Feinstein and one other Dem turned against us on that committee.

37. Sen. Rockefeller is the Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee.
Rockefeller was the Sponsor of the bill. There were no co-sponsors. I assume if Sen. Feinstein wrote the bill she would have either sponsored it or at least been a co-sponsored. Immunity was already in the bill and therefore DID exist without her input.
Feinstein's bill was never voted on in the Judiciary hearings. Other lesser amendments for immunity were and she voted nay.
Yes, she and my Sen. voted for this shit. She is not my Senator. I will deal with mine, I hope you deal with her.
BTW, I heard that some in CA want to vote to censurer her.

16. Google Glenn Greenwald at Salon
He has been covering this story well and if you read back his old posts you'll get yourself up to speed.

Short version: The Senate voted today to give telecommunication companies like AT&T legal immunity from prosecution for crimes they have committed by illegally recording American's phone conversations on a systematic basis - in collusion with criminals in the Bush administration. Too many Senators are on the telecom gravy train, and several have been kept in the loop on the lawbreaking and constitution flouting since the beginning.

23. AT&T is just making the NSA's job easier.
Everything that crosses AT&T's networks (and the rest of em, including the big email guys) passes through an NSA "scoop up" junction, and gets whisked off into the netherworld of spookville to be sorted out by the mutant spawn of John Poindexter. Welcome to 1984. The Constitution is no longer "operaive." And yes, the world is upside down. Keep your seatbelt on.

I'll just call you a regular American who has most likely been getting all of his or her news from the TeeeVeee in recent years. Welcome to the real world. You will find that it doesn't correspond very well to what the corporate owned media tells you. The rabbit hole goes deep. It takes some getting used to. :hi:

15. Needs lots more Recs so nobody on DU misses this list.
They're not all DINOs, but we wouldn't be hurting without half the names on this list in office past their soonest expiration date.

I always thought Mikulski was cool too. No more. But what the hell is Webb thinking? Beyond disappointment.

24. It's always the SAME
senators...with a couple of surprises. I'm rather surprised by Stabenow....but she must get a lot of money from the Telecoms (or they have promised her lots of $).

I bet CA finds someone to run against DiFi...she has become a real pain.

The Nelsons are ALWAYS on the list. The ARs are always there. And the one from LA. Kohl is unusual. Salazar is a true repugnant. One term and get this asshole out...along with his brother in the House.

McCaskill is a total waste....Sherrod Brown of Ohio is the only newly elected Senator to be a real Dem. I love him. I guess Tester doesn't count on Telecoms for $$$.

Webb...once a repugnant, always a repugnant.

Did anyone ever think that the 'real' Repugnants (not the neocons) decided to take over the Dem party? They were sick of dealing with the Evangelicals and decided, 'Hey, let's go over there and just infiltrate and take them over...!!!' Then there is really only one party.

32. Sherrod Brown voted for the Military Commissions Act
His excuse was that he was "in the heat of a campaign." But he did apologize for it, and I guess none of them are perfect.
One of my Senators couldn't even take the time to show up for this vote.

42. That was before the election....I remember that.
He didn't want to give DeWine his TV commercials for the summer/fall.

I forgave him for that....I guess I should say that I understood why he did it. But since he has been in the Senate, I'm not aware of any major bad votes he has made...unlike McCaskill, Webb, and Tester.

28. Not a lot of surprises there
I was gonna predict the Nelson brothers and Kohl and Johnson. McCaskill is becoming a regular disappointment. Is she ever gonna distinguish herself from the no-Talent Republican she just replaced?

Pretty sure you left one off. How did Lieberman vote? Not that he's a Democrat but certainly deserves a prominent spot on any "roll of shame".
