My parents taught me that we are the party of Peace.

Both of my parents went to jail for this principle.

They brought the others into our home when it was not acceptable to do so.

They took me to where the others were when it was not acceptable to do so.

They taught me to challenge and fight injustice wherever I saw it.

They taught me tolerance.

They are still active, progressive (well, really radical) Democrats.

I want to thank them and to remind all of us to keep our eye on the prize.

We really need to bring some peace to this world while we still can.

Everything else just seems secondary right now.
