Has your internet seemed sluggish lately. Got Comcast?
Have you bought an expensive computer and are you paying a lot each month for high speed internet?
Does it matter anymore?

Comcast Defends Role As Internet Traffic Cop

Comcast said yesterday that it purposely slows down some traffic on its network, including some music and movie downloads, an admission that sparked more controversy in the debate over how much control network operators should have over the Internet.

In a filing with the Federal Communications Commission, Comcast said such measures -- which can slow the transfer of music or video between subscribers sharing files, for example -- are necessary to ensure better flow of traffic over its network.

5. We had Insight, and Comcast bought them out.
I have had periods of sluggishness forever. Comcast's appearance didn't seem to change that. However, I'm not thrilled with their policy. Clearly, RIAA is way inside their shorts.

The Daily Show downloads in about 7 minutes. The Sarah Connor Chronicles downloaded in about 24 minutes last night.

6. DSL and satellite TV for me
I looked at Comcast when we first moved here, and quickly ran the other way. Comcast cable + internet actually costs more than DSL + phone + satellite, and DSL doesn't have the speed issues that cable modems have.
