threads come and go, and as we watched Newshour and the huge list of recent Iraq US servicemen killed reports (12 or more named at the end of last night and tonights newscasts...each) - it just saddens me and makes me wonder if we will ever find our way back to what is important, and whether we can ever fix what is really wrong. Short attention span, "I'm OK to screw you" attitudes, anesthetics by reality show mentality is chewing us up as a worthwhile culture.

Does anyone remember that we have over 150000 of our finest locked in an illegal war? Is it such old news that no one reports on it any more?

It all makes me sick.

1. Glad I gave up on professional sports a long time ago.
