John Warner (r-thank god he's leaving) has he finally gone round the bend???
I found this little bit at "Open Left"

"We have to suspend the rule of law because otherwise we'd crush the uniquely American spirit of volunteerism, in the way that the phone companies volunteered to break the Fourth Amendment."

Did he really say that.
Because if he did...I'm afraid he's losing it.
No...he's lost it.

Did anyone else hear this???

3. I'm having a scooby doo moment - Huhhh?
I've read that four times and it still makes no sense to me.

You are right - either he has lost it, he didn't say that or you wrote it down wrong.

4. It's what Open Left has reported.
I checked again and that's what they have.

That's just too weird.
I always thought better of him.

I always thought Sen Bunning of KY was the crazy one.

11. It does to me too
Why just the other day my wife asked me to volunteer to coach a youth soccer team and I said, "I don't know. If Congress won't grant telecoms immunity for volunteering to tap people's phone calls for the government, how can I possibly volunteer for anything any more. I mean, I could be hauled into court by some 'leftwing' organization."
