Interesting facts from this. There've been a number of presidents elected who had received less votes than the presidents before them had. In addition, the vote totals for Bush in 2004 (making no statements about his qualities, just numbers) are equal to the vote totals for the first 20 presidents combined. The vote totals for John Q. Adams, the first president we have numbers for, are less than half of the total that Bush received from just Wyoming in 2004.
Just food for thought. Totally meaningless, but I thought some of you political buffs out there would find it interesting.
