I jsut want to SCREAM!!!! Just saw the Katrina trailer shit on TV. |
|
I cannot believe what is happening to these people. How can our government be so incompetent and heartless to spend all that money in Iraq and not build these people housing within the last two years? For all the money spent on those health hazard trailers, FEMA could have built every family living in one of those trailers a decent home. Hell, I would gladly accept the houses being built by Halliburton it need be. My family has sent money, laborers, tools, food, clothing, and bedding down there. The reports from those who returned were just stunning. Some groups are having great success building a few homes but the need is requires building on a massive scale. But every completed home helps. How soon we forget our fellow countrymen and women and children. This latest report make me sick, sick, sick. Where are Hillary and Obama? Screw the campaign, talk about getting these people some real help. I know, I know, they both have addressed the needs of NO but, damn! This should be front and center on both agendas...McCain too. I want ACTION, not pie in the sky plans that will never get off the ground. I want a demand from one or all of the candidates to get these people housing. I want at least 2 million dollars from each campaign to be donated to get some foundations laid. I know, I am dreaming. I am hoping.

1. Gee ,only one candidate gave a damn enough to put them front and center |
|
but apparently the story isn't "sexy" enough and we have to make history. Besides the kids are making their choice and that is what counts!

5. Well, goodness, the kids make such great decisions! |

You don't trust them to pick the next President of the US? Problem is, they really think it is their right because we have failed so miserably in the past years since Clinton. I asked my daughter why they weren't out protesting in large numbers against the war. She had no real answer. BTW, she was going to vote for Edwards. She's heard nothing but love for him in this household. It was very hard for me when I made the decision to pull for Hillary. I had my reasons, but I surely miss that good man and his wonderful family. I miss seeing them, but hope whoever is elected will not waste talent such as his. I just hope he is not so disheartened that he won't accept a cabinet position.

2. Our government is not incompetent. It's been in the hands of thugs and criminals. |
|
Our money is being stolen by these thugs and given to other thugs. That's all that's wrong.

3. Don't forget to rain some of your rant on Mississippi. The governor took |

$600 million away from Katrina reconstruction for expanding the state's port and is now after another $25 million to build a road to a new Toyota plant. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/23072024/
