Lives Lost in Iraq: at least 135,492 Some very reliable estimates go way beyond that number. This includes children who had grieving parents. fathers missed by their children. Mothers who will not be able to take care of their babies. Whatever the exact number, this is something this nation, guilty of waging a war of aggression in direct violation of international law should grieve every day, more importantly, we should work every day to completely end US occupation of Iraq.
US Service people killed in illegal act of war against the people of Iraq initiated by Bush and his political allies, both domestic and internationally: Nearly 4,000
This calls out for justice. all members of the Administration and their handmaidens in the US Congress must be held accountable for these terrible crimes against humanity for violating such clear international laws against supporting armed aggression. We owe it to ourselves not to think of this as a mere "mistake" and treat it as the crime it is.
Unfortunately, it is part of a wider pattern of support for military aggression in the Middle East, that is widely supported by the US elite and their all-too compliant and willing servants in Congress.
