McCain just called Huckleberry's bluff..
Romney endorsed Mccain & released his delegates and asked them to support Mccain..

I think Anchorman's gonna be the running mate..

handsome, young-looking & "business-monetary" experience (although throwing a bunch of money away in the campaign looks rather stupid...but it was HIS money)

IF McCain won, he'd be a one-termer, so Mittens would have the inside track to run in '12..

Huckleberry's schtick must have finally gotten on Mccain's last nerve..

There's no reason for him to continue now.. He thought by going on, he would be preceived as the "main man" in '12 because he was not a "quitter" like Romney..

Joke's on the jokester.. The press will drop him like a hot potato now, because now he's truly a vanity candidate, because the people he courted, preferred Romney anyway ..

checkmate

1. Huckabee was ALWAYS a vanity candidate. I've never seen a politician
enjoy and cultivate fame more than he did. He never had any serious proposals--not one. He just wanted to be a celebrity and play his bass on the teevee and have Chuck Norris be his friend.

11. Yes, I'm pretty sure there's an unspoken, black hope among
conservatives that McCain, uh...you know...uh....you know. And then they'll get Mittens after all!

12. Huck
Nonetheless, Huck would have brought out the Evangelicals for the GOP, so I'm glad he won't be the VP choice.

9. Let me guess how this is going to go...
we'll see him saying "my good friend, Governor Romney", every 30 seconds or so, while clenching his jaw and gritting his dentures.

7. Maybe he can take over that church where Ted Haggard left. He had a direct
link to the White House and spoke with Rove-Bush** regularly.

6. Jeb Bush is an "advisor" with Romney.
So, McCain and Romney win the presidency cause the Rethug powers want their boys. McCain dies in office (strangely enough - sarcasm), and Romney pulls in Jeb as his VP.

Anyone got a better idea for why Romney does this endorsement - when he and McCain clearly hate each others' guts??! I mean, Romney had the potential to be a major player at the convention and he just decides to fade away so early in the year, deferring to McCain?

8. Let's see if the bible thumpers go the third-party route - with Huckabee.

They're not exactly ga-ga over McCain - or Romney (assuming McCain picks him as running mate).
