I think the Republicans have made so many mistakes today they can't recover
Leaving the floor of the house in a snit may have been the silliest thing the Republicans could have done today but what is more interesting is that Bush blinked. He said he might delay his trip. Think about it - the Emperor might dane to delay his trip. The swagger is gone. He sees it coming now. He knows there's nothing else he can do but hope for the Senate version of the FISA bill because if he doesn't get it he's dead meat ... soon.

They behaved like child-brats today; they did not leave the house floor in protest, they left in a snit. The sky is falling around them and they have no umbrella. They have played the fear card right into the ground, the religious right has abandon them. Instant millionaires have become instant paupers; donation revenue is way down.

We only have one step left - stop immunity! We are that close to toppling this rogue regime. At long long last there is reason for optimism.

1. Can we start on that while the publicans are gone from the House floor?
That would be a good time to do it, I think.

3. geez I hope so. I just do not want to hear these repigs
invoking our names to say the American people want us to do this......leave my name out of it please. They haven't done jack for the American people except to instill us with fear. Sorry that is not going to do it anymore.

Now, will another bin laden tape be coming out, we already know their game plan.

4. The Dems should have a sealed envelope placed for each Republican when they return.
On the envelope:

WHILE YOU WERE OUT

And inside:

We impeached your President and Vice President.

You are cordially invited to a cocktail party in honor of President Pelosi at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue...

Think the Republicans can take a joke?

6. But haven't we had this same thought for over seven years? With every obscenity
that the repukes pull, there are many comments (here) that "this is the final straw" or "they CANNOT get away with this."

Name one thing they have not gotten away with. I have little faith that this will be any different. We are still trying to play in a rigged game with those who rigged it.

It is beyond time to find a different, more direct way, to fight the enemy that is destroying the country.

8. Most people will never hear about them
because they're working right now and we know the corrupt news networks won't bother to report them honestly.

9. Democrats have to get in front of the mikes.
Every Dem has to get on the morning shows, the weekend talkies , any show they can, and highlight that the repubs walked out rather than enforce
subpoenas. Pelosi held a presser today. It would have been a perfect time for her to focus on the subpoenas, but she did not...

A side note, how is tanning-bed boy going to explain his screw up to dick? He can forget ever holding office again even if he is not soon indicted for something. HaHaHaaa.

10. Oh, carp!! This is terrible news!!!
Our beloved president is delaying a trip.

And we had such high expectations for the results of that trip.

Dang.

12. Right
He was gonna save us on that trip, I'm sure. Now were lost!

Now then, as for some optimism - as the op relates-- there does seem a one out of a 100 chance that the plug could be pulled on bushco. That is better than we have seen.... so yeah optimism is up a point, eh?

14. Well, despite the damage he does to our reputation every time he goes abroad,
It's just pretty damn satisfying to see the back of him, so yes, this is a tragedy of minor proportions.
