4. Add CBS. They sent me an alert about the Romney/McCain endorsement
But not one tiny word about this. Didn't even know it happened till I showed up here today. Right now.

7. A major reason to come to DU -- the MSM doesn't report much of the news.
And it misreports so much that it does claim to cover.

5. Sounds like the "Liberal Media" is in contempt too.
Their job is to report the news, not supress it to protect the GOP.

8. That's not unexpected. ABC Nightly News never even mentioned the Senate FISA vote the other night.
However, they did waste about 5 minutes last night on the baseball hearings.

MSNBC was all over it. They've simply either moved on to other things or they realize how much damage was just done to their party and chose to avert their coverage.

17. Nora has been going on and on about the new season of American Idol
They've shown several clips of the finalists and they have interviewed on separate segments at least two or three former contestants. Personally, I absolutely CRAVE this stuff. I don't care if the entire country is falling apart but I cannot LIVE without knowing who's who on American Idol. It is the stuff of my dreams, my hopes, my joys, my life itself!

18. Nytimes mentions it in a story about the citation of 2 bush aids for contempt
Edited on Thu Feb-14-08 03:25 PM by bryant69
"The vote was a lopsided 223 to 32 in favor of the contempt citation, after most Republican members walked out to protest what their leaders called a political move. Instead, they said, the House should be voting on the extension of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act approved by the Senate earlier this week.

The resolution would seek to compel testimony from Harriet E. Miers, who was White House counsel when several United States attorneys were replaced; Democrats contend that replacements were for political reasons.
