"They flounced out of the meeting in a snit". |
A woman we know at church was at one time a reporter for the local weekly fish wrap. She was sort of the low person on the food chain so she was assigned to cover things like the city council meetings. At one contentious meeting the mayor lost a vote on some issue he obviously gave a shit about and stormed out of the council chambers after the vote was tallied. Her story on it the nest day reported "Mayor xxxx flounced out of the meeting in a snit". The mayor loudly protested the characterization of his action and the reporter lost her job which she confided to us she was kind of hoping for anyway since the pay was about on the burger flipping level.
when I read of the actions of the Boner today I had to laugh thinking of that incident.

1. Let's hope there are some similarly disgusted DC press corps nobodies today, yes? |
"Snit" is exactly what I'd call it, myself.

4. HA!! I like that writing style!! That fishwrap should hire her back as a "commentator" |
as opposed to a reporter, and triple her pay.
