Poll question: Divide and Conquer.
Are the Republicans purposefully attempting to create a single-party government in perpetuity?

3. It's been evident since the Reagan years. I'm just asking the opinion of others
to repeat the point in no uncertain terms, and to raise the question "what now", because if we fight them, they'll have a reason to reveal their true ugliness.

What to do?

4. They and their type have certainly shown an inability to consider the needs of the nation as a whole
so no, they do not deserve the slightest bit of power and influence.

6. The question doesn't make sense to me.
Most Republicans are conservative, and most Democrats are liberal/progressive. The only way for the Republicans to create a single party would be for all of them to become liberals and join us.

Surely you are not suggesting that is what's happening.

8. Or to use strategy and tactics to make it impossible for Democrats to engage in the process of
government.

9. Ok, I understand now, and I'll vote "no."
Any procedural garbage they create can be used against them as well when the tables are turned.

For example, when the GOP-controlled Congress made it possible for a sitting President to be subpoened for a civil lawsuit (Clinton/Paula Jones), they opened the door for a lot of nuisances.
