Chimp to veto senate ban on waterboarding...
http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20080214/pl_afp/usbushcongressintelligenceveto

Democratic New York Senator Charles Schumer said that if Bush "vetoes intelligence authorization, he will be voting in favor of waterboarding."

Asked by a reporter if Bush, who leaves office in 2009, would be labeled as the first US president who favored torture, Perino rejected the assertion and dismissed Schumer's argument as "simplistic."

I'm beginning to think some of the senate NEEDS a good waterboarding.

EDIT: My mistake - I thought that was "ban on senate waterboarding".

2. Perino probably thinks waterboarding has something to do with surfing
She hasn't exactly been up to speed on the issues.

3. Yes, Dana the equation *is* pretty simple. If Bush vetoes the bill
for its limit on CIA interrogations (waterboarding) he casts his one vote in favor of those interrogations (waterboarding.)

4. CUE THE VONAGE THEME!

This is a veto I actually endorse--if it's declared illegal now, that means it wasn't illegal before, which means it's OK that Georgie OK'd it, which means HE didn't do anything illegal, which means he can't be held accountable for it. But maybe the Dems figure that Georgie wouldn't be able to figure that out--I think he's just had a fast one pulled on him!

:woohoo:
