Wexler: (paraphrased)
(On questioning Rice yesterday in the House hearing)
I was asking her about the ~1000 false statements utilized by this administration in the lead up to the war.... I asked her whether there was contrary evidence as to what she presented to the public. Yes, there WERE contrary reports. She became very defensive.
I wanted her to tell us why she decided to ignore the information in these contrary reports when she released her info to the public. She was very defensive.
I was taken by this: here was this nonpartisan report that came out, and the defensiveness of Ms. Rice, and it showed that this administration does not tolerate being questioned...
How dare that the public has the right to question anything that they do!
(On the Republican walkout today in the House)
Never before has anyone close to the prez refused to show up for Congressional subpoenas. So we're taking action, at long last.
(On whether Florida should have an election do-over for new delegates)
He doesn't think Floridians will go for a do-over... (is he sure?) ... he says he supports Obama, and thinks he will be the strongest candidate against McCain.
There is going to be so much pressure on the superdelegates to vote with the majority of the voters. He doesn't think we will get to that point of controversy.
