"I-Worm / Nuwar.C" in public distribution of Cygwin.

I just ran a Virus check with the newest AVG Free Update and found a "I-Worm/Nuwar.C" in public distributions of Cygwin, including my backups which were obtained from different mirrors. Everyone using Cygwin should check their harddrive.

I can't seem to get rid of it. Some times if I come to my machine, I find that AVG has been disabled and I can't start any new processes. The shutdown menu is altered so that all I can do is logoff or switch user. I am surprised AVG can't find it and get rid of it.

My AVG discovered the same virus this morning too.

Given the concern over this being a false positive that deletes a truly useful file, I filed a bug about it here:
