Poll question: Why are war mongers considered to be conservative ?
I've been wondering about this for a long time. . .

How can looting the treasury, trashing the Constitution, invading the wrong country, and awarding unaccountable no bid contracts to mercenaries be seen as even remotely conservative?

1. Conservatives are the ones doing the war mongering
They are the ones profiteering from the wars that they create

4. Orwell knew what was coming.
I re-read 1984 and his Essay on English and Politics a couple of weeks ago. The man was a genius.

6. The word conservative doesn't mean what it used to mean
Why are conservatives, who supposedly want smaller government, the first ones to want to protect the giant bureaucratic corporations that dominate everything in our society? And why are they in favor of big spending when it comes to war, when that spending and the borrowing it necessitates is a form of hidden tax for future generations to pay?
