LEAHY-Demand a House-Senate conference to produce a fair FISA bill-WITHOUT Immunity!
Demand a House-Senate conference to produce a fair FISA bill!

There's still time to fix FISA and do it the right way -- providing the balance we need to protect national security, preserve civil liberties, and refuse retroactive immunity to phone companies who went along with Bush-Cheney Administration lawbreaking. But I need you to join me in speaking out, right now, to make sure we get a fair FISA bill.

Join 11,751 Americans: Forward an email http://ga3.org/campaign/fisa?rk=c7ep82KqwEW2E to your home state Senators and Representative now, urging them to keep working until we get a fair FISA bill!

Sincerely,

3. My sentiment also,
why bother, the 1978 FISA Law does everything needed, if there are some minor tweaks needed wait till January 09 to fix them.

6. The only way to avoid a signing statement...is to let it expire
If they produce a new bill on his desk, he will just sign it with his stupid signing statements. When are they going to learn? Just let this one expire. The Fisa as it was written in 1978 does what it is supposed to, provides OVERSIGHT!

gowd damned crooks, want it to be left in the dark. That is not how this country should operate. Shine the light on these cockaroaches and watch them scurry.

5. What I find so interesting....
Is the fact that Bush rants on and on about how we're all gonna die if this doesn't get passed. We need the FISA bill.. oh and immunity.

But, none of their wiretapping would end for anther year anyway. Even if FISA lapses, he still get to spy on us for the rest of his term.

He doesn't care about FISA, he just cares about the immunity.

I got that off of Olberman last night. I think the vid is still up on http://www.crooksandliars.com

7. Keith was great! Immunity is bad enough, but wouldn't it also create a legal precedent?
