O.J. Simpson's Girlfriend Hospitalized With 'Severe Head Injury'

O.J. Simpson's girlfriend Christie Prody was hospitalized in Miami Monday for what police are calling a "severe head injury," "Entertainment Tonight" reported.

Prody suffered bruises and head injuries -- but it was because of a fall, and it had nothing to do with Simpson, Miami police told TMZ.com.

The National Enquirer reported that Simpson was being investigated after Prody was taken to the hospital. But cops told TMZ that her injuries are "consistent" with a fall she took at a gas station, that they don't consider this a criminal case and that Simpson was never a suspect.

An anonymous caller reported a woman falling and was taken by Fire Rescue to Baptist Hospital of Miami with a severe head injury, according to a police report obtained by "Entertainment Tonight."

9. Actually this happened to a friend of mine

some years ago. Pumping gas at the gas station he was suddenly overcome by gasoline fumes, turned to walk to the island to pay and passed out, face planting into the concrete. Broke his jaw in two places, lost a number of teeth and had to wear a "halo" with his mouth wired shut for 3 months. Lost about 40 pounds (he was an athletic 180 pound 6' guy before the accident).

Something for everyone to be aware of, especially if you have other risk factors like low blood sugar.

Anyway, I'm sorry for her accident... as for her relationship with OJ... what can anyone say?

that day... and being very active, probably had low blood sugar.

Hot day, possibly dehydrated as well. Filling up his vehicle with his nose right over the nozzle.

Doesn't take much.

His doctors told him that this happens more often than many people realize!!! Could happen to anyone.

So I now stand well back from the nozzle while I fill up.

And this was in CA, where they have requirements for gasoline hoses to "recapture" fumes as you fill!
