Bush ACTUALLY flew to Africa? despite his fear-laden threats?
What I cannot believe is how Reyes, Hoyer, and a few other normally craven and frightened congresscritters actually managed to stand up to a presidential threat.

So, has the world come to an end today, now that the normal FISA is back in operation?

Anyone? Anyone?


And does anyone else also agree that this is but the first step, an awkward, baby step, by an opposition congress to a law-breaking president? That this bodes well on other issues, too? Once you learn to ride a bike, you never forget. I suspect that the same applies here.

6. My take is that they just want some realignment of the power structures
that the telecoms "answer" to. ie - you answer to us (congress) now, not the administration. Once they get that they are off to the races.
