The fact that the pollster "cleverly" crafted this EITHER-OR poll, making it impossible for anyone to vote in response to the question about both leaders, is, all by itself, rather ... vindicating.

as to call what they're doing a good job....i don't think they've been near as bad as other people here think are....
the thing about their jobs is that they have to try to hold all the factions together....no texas democrat is ever going to be liberal enough for yer average mass. democratic voter...but reid and pelosi have to reconcile the 2...also reid is from nev.....it's not exactly a hotbed of liberalism and if he wanders too far from the center....he'll wind up like tom dashle....remeber tom...was the minority leader....till the bushies painted him as a flaming liberal.....i think he's doing lobbyist work now.....

9. I think Reid has done wonders with a razor thin majority. And Pelosi has done a

fantastic job of being a "Big Tent" Democrat, and considering the views of all corners of the tent--not just the progressive lefties. That IS part of the job of the Speaker. She has to be FAIR. And she is.

Tom's wife was a lobbyist when he was on the Hill, too. Natural progression for him.
