Could Ron Paul go Third Party?
Before anyone I asks, I have absolutely NOTHING to back this up, but he hasn't dropped out yet, he's practically a Libertarian and the GOP rank-and-file already hate him...

...and most importantly, he's crazy and his supporters are fanatical.

What do you think? Could it happen?

1. He's already ruled it out, and will probably drop out of the Presidential race
shortly to focus on his own reelection to the House.

2. He says he won't, but I'm wondering what all his supporters
will do. They hate McCain (have you seen the political video posted here comparing McCain and Miss Teen SC? It is a Ron Paul ad!). It would be wonderful if Paul ran as a Libertarian, as his supporters would vote that rather than GOP.

4. the only difference in his party and the republicans is that his actually admits what they intend to
do to this country...

if you want to know what EXACTLY what is, have to read Naomi Klein's 'the shock doctrine: the rise of disaster capitalism'

it is 558 pages of which 92 are footnotes and index, it is a very serious study of the origins of Republican history of trying to repeal all of the new deal programs that created the middle class, and the rise if global corporatism, and the demise of wages, benefits, human rights.. the environment, etc, etc, etc...

read this book and when people say.. "What the hell is going on today.." you can answer the question.

6. He won't. He's in a safe congressional seat and won't risk his political career.
He's one of those types that won't toss away a secured job to take a stand.

He will leave behind a trail of disillusioned followers with no real place to turn, however. I wouldn't be surprised to see someone attempt to fill that void.

7. Nope.. His little coterie of rabid supporters were but a blip on the radar

even though they bloodied their fingers every morning on Washington Journal..

His "support" was a mile wide & one-quarter inch deep...he's not a national candidate.
