4. You got it--but even then, it wasn't senator versus. senator...
Since Nixon was a sitting Vice President.

Trying to figure out the last time two sitting Senators duked it out for the electorate.

5. Actually, Obama is going straight from Ilinois Senator to the
nomination. According to his wife, all the people were in place for a presidential run by then end of 2006. He just got the U.S. Senate seat that November. That's a BIG jump in our political history.. that I know of anyway. Major backers behind this great looking, great talking guy. I'll be looking for the "beef".

8. Actually, I believe he was elected to the Senate
in November 2004, wasn't he? Still, not a lot of Senate experience.

9. he was a state senator as well...
so i'm pretty sure that he has more actual legislative experience than hillary.

6. I would argue that it is "Senator Cheney"
who as President of the Senate routinely swears at Democrats and defeats tied legislation only to go to his real job of puppet master at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.
