Diana murdered, Al Fayed claims
Source: BBC News

Princess Diana and Dodi Al Fayed were murdered, Mohamed Al Fayed has told the inquest into their deaths in a car crash in Paris in August 1997.

Mr Al Fayed, Harrods owner and father of Dodi, told the Royal Courts of Justice he would "make no allegations".

However, he said Princess Diana "knew Prince Philip and Prince Charles were trying to get rid of her".

The Harrods boss also said Diana had told him she was pregnant. "I am the only person they told," he said.

Asked by Ian Burnett QC, counsel to the inquest, if he stood by his claim: "I'm in no doubt whatsoever that my son and Princess Diana were murdered by the British security services on the orders of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh", Mr Al Fayed replied: "Yes."

1. Al Fayed Might Be Nuts
And MI-6 might STILL have had something to do with offing Diana.

We're not going to know anytime soon. When will the Brits jettison their stupid monarchy anyway?

5. Burrell admits lying to inquest
http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/article813688.ece

SHAMEFUL Paul Burrell has sensationally confessed he LIED to the Princess Diana inquest – and could now face arrest.

The dynamite video, exclusively obtained by The Sun, shows Burrell, 49, bragging about how he deliberately misled the coroner, High Court judge Lord Justice Scott Baker.

In his lengthy rant, the two-faced flunky tells how he:

WITHHELD details of a crucial conversation with the Queen months after Diana’s death in a Paris car crash in 1997.
RAKED in millions by cashing in on his royal connections, despite his claims he was Diana’s “Rock”.
THINKS Mohammed Fayed, father of Diana’s lover Dodi who was killed with her, is DYING.
PLANS to become a US citizen when Camilla becomes Queen — adding: “Britain can f*** off.”

14. It's interesting how
Murdoch's UK rag is promoting this conspiracy fodder (however note that Murdoch's son is now in charge of UK & European operations while Murdoch himself concentrates on the Wall Street Journal).

9. The Accident Man by Tom Cain
I heard an interesting radio interview with the author of "The Accident Man," which is a fiction book about professional assassins who specialize in making the subject's death look like an accident.

The author says there are certain things in the Diana case that are classics in the "accident" scenario. One is that while driving through the tunnel, they were met with a strong beam of light that could have thrown off the driver. I'm going to listen to the interview again as I was distracted while listening the first time, but if I remember correctly, the author of this book (who comes right out and says that he chose fiction because the subject is too sensitive to deal with as nonfiction) actually seems to think it WASN'T a staged accident because no one really stands to benefit.

The book sounds fascinating and I'm going to get it sometime in the next few days.

Meanwhile, here are some links if anyone's interested:

Al Fayed gets his 'moment' in court

Mohamed Al Fayed has been giving evidence at London's Royal Courts of Justice at the inquest into the death of his son Dodi and Diana, Princess of Wales.

"I've been fighting for 10 years," he said.

"This is the moment for me to say exactly what I feel happened to my son and Diana."

And he certainly didn't hold back when he got into the witness box.

For Mr Al Fayed, it's simple. Princess Diana and his son were murdered because they were going to get married and Diana was pregnant.

The Establishment would not tolerate an Egyptian Muslim the future King of England's stepfather, he elaborated.

And according to Mr Al Fayed, everyone was in on the conspiracy.

From the top officials who didn't pass on a note from Diana in which she said she feared for her life, to the driver Henri Paul; they were all in the pay of the security services or the "dark forces".
