JFK murder transcript most likely fake--Guardian Unlimited, UK

The transcript of a conversation between Ruby and Oswald, less than two months before the assassination of President John F Kennedy, would be one of the most sensational revelations about an event that has fuelled conspiracy theories for more than 40 years.

But there is one problem with the document unearthed in a safe on the 12th floor of the Dallas courthouse: it is almost certainly a fake.

My interest is why it was made, who made it, why it wasn't used, and why it was preserved.

Being fake doesn't mean the item is without interest of its own.

I don't know if it's fake or what, my Friend. And, like you, I want to know.

I do know Gary Mack only paints things as "Oswald did it." That attitude, I don't like.

This is what we call an anachronism.

There was a conspiracy theory centered around a woman claiming that Oswald promised to meet her in a hotel in Cancun after the assassination. Problem: Cancun was an empty sand bar in 1963.

What did they plan to do with it? Who overruled it? And who decided not to light a match to it?

People think "fake" means the story's over. To me, that's just the beginning.
